Trip to Farmart with Cherie Hearts

Cherie Hearts organised an excursion to Farmers' market, or better know as Farmart on 18th March 2010. The boys were excited about the trip as they knew Mummy would be tagging along, bringing their favourite snack. Our guide, farmer William, is a witty and humourous farmer. He explained life cycles of the different animals to the kids very clearly and even taught them how to spell the names of the animals. One funny answer came from his question, "Where do eggs come from", the children chorused,"the nest!".... Farmer William was so happy that nobody answered, "From the supermarket!" (haaaa....)

Farmer William also taught the children how to differentiate between male and female birds. The children had a chance to feed some farm animals like rabbits, goats and fish. We were treated to a snack of deep fried quails, quails' eggs and chicken nuggets. Though it sounds cruel, but the deep fried quail was indeed delicious. OIISHI!!
