Rei still unwell
Who says breast-fed babies under 6 months won't fall ill? Mine did. In a short span of 2 weeks, Mummy has brought all the boys to KKH A&E unit at 4 different occasions. At first it was Donovan's cough, then Dominus for Upper Tract infection, then Rei for his fever and cough, and again yesterday. Mummy couldn't stand the sound of the choking thick phlegm in his throat when he coughs and those thick greenish mucous that flows like a tap left running so we brought him to KKH in the evening.
The doctor checked for any early signs of pneumonia and ruled out that possibility as he did not hear any wheezing sound and neither were there contractions in his lungs while he breathes. Though Rei's feeding is rather poor, doctor said he is still sufficiently hydrated and that Mummy has to continue to monitor his feeding input and poo-poo output.
Rei is coughing so badly that it leaves us cold just to hear him cough. The coughing and blocked nose at night is disrupting his sleeping patterns too. But that is secondary for now. Let's hope the whole family can recover quickly so that we wouldn't be taking turns to fall sick again.
