Day 3 Post-partum...
It was a terrible night before and a genuine test of Mummy's perseverence. Baby Rei could not be satisfied despite long durations of very frequent nursing. After all, it was only less than 48 hours since Mummy had delivered and milk has yet to come in. Mummy battled with Baby Rei un til he finally slept at 4am. Grandma had heard Baby Rei's crying and came to offer some help. With zero experience in breastfeeding, Grandma began to doubt Mummy's milk supply and suggested giving formula milk and a pacifier. Mummy was already frustrated by the insatiable baby and the untimely delay in milk supply but did not argue with Grandma, only gently reminded her that she had breastfed both Donovan and Dominus successfully. However, with Baby Rei's piercing cries shattering the silence of the night, Mummy's willpower did waver a little.
When morning came, Mummy was glad that she did not give in to the temptations and convenience of the formula milk as her milk supply has increased. Baby Rei was a much happier baby today, though Mummy is still urging him to meet the day's quota of poo and pee.
