"Don't worry, I'll pray for you..."

As the news of my pregnancy spreads, many concerned friends and acquaintances would then ask if I secretly hoped that this time I would be blessed with a baby girl. Having had 2 boys, of course I'll gladly welcome a change. But it is also having spent time wrestling with boys that I appreciate their big-heartedness, generousity and acknowledging that they are really very sporting creatures. When people hear that I'm still unaware of the gender of my baby, they'll usually say that they'll pray for me that I'd get a girl this time round. It makes me feel strange as somehow, I can feel their expectations on me to really get a girl. I hate to disappoint but it is really not up to me to decide what has already been decided. Well, it is exactly a week more before I can find out baby's gender. Meanwhile, just keep our fingers crossed ok?
