Hey, little one!
Mummy had been looking forward to today's scan appointment for ages. She was always wondering why her tummy is still not ballooning as big as she'd expected. Her only tell-tale sign of baby's well-being is the nagging nausea and persistent hunger. Today, Mummy saw the little one kicking and flipping via the ultrasound scan and was totally relieved upon seeing the thumpings of the heart that looked like a flitting butterfly on the screen. Today, Mummy got baby tested for risk of down syndrome. Given the advantage of age, the risk was low. So Mummy, Daddy and Gor Gor Donovan went home with a peace of mind.
Aiyo, you are driving us crazy!!!
Gor Gor Donovan just turned two and a half years old. That's between 2 and 3;synonymous with a hybrid characteristic of terrible twos and horrible threes. Gosh, he is practically pushing our limits every single day. There were times when he feels extremely stubborn about having to sleep early, absolutely refusing to put away his toys, asked for milk and not drinking it and not apologising to Didi Dominus after hitting him. Being at the age where he is learning from experience and exposure, he sometimes does things that seemed totally ridiculous yet hilarious. Just yesterday, he squeezed almost half a tube of toothpaste onto his tiny toothbrush and was later put off by the flavour that was strong for him to take. There was also an occasion when took Dominus' soiled diaper and took a deep breath before complaining that it was actually a smelly diaper. Sigh...
However, there were times when we marvel at the things he understands and the things that he can do. Just a few days ago, Mummy thanked him for helping to place the dirty clothes into the laundry basket and he replied, "You're welcome!" readily. Mummy also had a pleasant surprise when she heard him sing some new songs all by himself.
Actually Mummy is feeling rather guilty towards the boys now as she hardly has any energy left after returning home from work and therefore isn't in the best physical state to participate in their games and growing. But being an Arts grad, she is fully capable of using eye power, cause VPA translates to Visual performing arts! Yeah!
