The Animal Resort

Singapore's city kids are living in a very cosmopolitan concrete jungle that their hearts are no way near nature. As a teacher, I have come across children who doesn't know that the chicken from their chicken rice used to be alive. That's because they've not seen one running around before! Amazed? That's not all! They are unable to understand that pork comes from pigs, mutton from lambs and beef from cows cause they've never seen the living versions to their dinner! Therefore, we make an effort to bring the kiddos around as much as we can during thr holidays so that they'll not grow up not knowing these things.
