Mummy was out with an old friend for lunch and catch-up session when Daddy sent an MMS titled 'See what our lovely son did?' Mummy's friend was amused and asked if we did set aside extra cash for miscellaneous incidents like this.

Egg Tarts

Mummy tried making egg tarts this morning though she hardly touched any of them, reason being she can't stand eggs being sweet instead of salty. Eggs being sweet seemed to be going against nature... Haaa... But the family always loved a small treat any day and that's all it needs to motivate Mummy to sweat it out in the kitchen.

Mummy made 2 boo-boos though; First, Mummy didn't settle the egg mixture after pouring into the crust so bubbles surfaced during the baking process, leading to uneven surface. Then Mummy forgot to turn the tray inside out so those tarts on the inside were slightly burnt. They still taste great though... Daddy gobbled quite a few, and by gobbling, he was really stuffing the entire tart into his mouth at one go. Daddy says it feels good to have all the crust and egg all over the insides of his mouth at one go... Weird...

There were some left over pastry dough so Mummy made them into biscuits with strawberry jam as the filling. This appeal more to the kids than adults, who found it too sweet.
