Mummy having a fever!!

Mummy was putting on a front for the entire day as she was trying to keep a fever at bay, with absolutely no medicine. I wondered how. Mummy had felt her body giving in to the invading fever virus on Thursday night but thought she could rest her way to recovery. By the time school ended today, she was already very ill, feeling cold despite a burning forehead, with muscle aches and pain in her joints. Knowing that Donovan only ends his speech and drama class at 6pm, she managed to pull herself together and last till then by compromising with a pedicure treatment.

However, Mummy had a rude shock when she finally struggled to Cherie Hearts to pick Donovan. He was screaming on top of his voice and shouting at every teacher including Mummy rudely. The teachers were shocked too, as they have never seen Donovan behaved this way before. He was totally oblivious to the advising and cajoling and sulked and kicked the furniture around. With an impending fever and having to deal with such nonsense, Mummy snapped and broke down.... Yes.... In public...

The teachers were surprised with Mummy's reaction and thought Mummy was just tired. Well, yes indeed. Mummy was very tired. So Mummy slept all the way upon reaching home and left they boys in the care of Grandma and Jerrimie. When Daddy got home, he took Mummy's temperature, which stands at 39.4 degrees celsius and fed Mummy with Paracetamol. Hope Mummy feels better after a night's rest as she really cannot afford to fall ill...
