Our tiring Taiwan trip 2008

This is our first formal family holiday out of the country. Daddy and Mummy had debated for ages if they should even include the rascals in the plan. However, knowing that they'll miss the kiddos to bits, they bravely packed along the boys with them to Taiwan. But by the 2nd day, Daddy and Mummy knew that besides spending, baby-sitting, getting-pissed and losing sleep, there isn't anything else in the itinerary.

Mummy had always been interested in the history of China and its territories. However, she was unable to listen to the guide very much as the boys were always noisy. Half of the time, Mummy had to stop Donovan from running out of sight, and the other half of the time, Mummy had to deal with cranky Dominus who couldn't sleep well without his cradle.

Daddy didn't have a good time too. He had to take on the role of a photographer, milk-bartender, packer, luggage puller etc. But Mummy is extremely grateful as it is always during overseas trip that she gets to re-affirm that she married the right man. Cause Daddy is always the one handling all the logistics (Mummy didn't carry a single luggage the entire trip), always the one who boils water for milk, wash the bottles, pack the luggage, last to bathe, last to sleep and first to wake up. Oh, it sounds like Mummy is skiving. But she had tonnes of other things to do too! I needn't explain. Those with kids will know... Those with boys know better... Those with rascals know best!

There are many other people to thank for making this trip possible. Grandma; without you, Mummy would probably fly back by the 3rd day, SIA; for making the flight extraordinarily pleasant with the extra attention (we were given diapers, bibs, wet wipes, toys... all SIA endorsed) and lastly, MOE; for giving us a pathetic bonus (otherwise, the location could have been better)!!!

So when is Daddy and Mummy brave enough for the next trip? I think at least a decade from now!
