Sensitive Mummy?

Is it a universal phenomenon, or is Mummy growing extra sensitive these days? Daddy and Mummy had been too caught up with playing the characters of father and mother that somehow they had forgotten that they are also each other's husband and wife. General interaction can't seem to tear away from child-minding issues and that puts a veil to the romance between them.

It is difficult to picture the same person who once made you blush from ear to ear and your heart pound triply fast as the one screaming with a cane in one hand, chasing after 2 naughty rascals. Not to mention that the same person had once smelt of love and spring suddenly smelt of evaporated saliva and poo. Had parenthood de-romanticised all parents? Or is it only Mummy who is facing this problem?

Daddy left for his IPPT remedial training this evening and he had given little Donovan 2 kisses on his cheeks. However, sitting not far away was Mummy and little Dominus, who only could watch in envy and denial that Daddy hadn't deliberately forget their share of the parting ritual. It's just a simple kiss, how petty can Mummy get? Then again, since its just a simple kiss, why can't Daddy remember to be more generous?

Since Daddy and Mummy became parents, Mummy had always been grateful that Daddy is a totally participating and devoted Daddy. I guess that is the trade-off and romance can be put off until Donovan and Dominus (and more Ds....) are all grown up and independent! Till then, Mummy has to stop being a DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE!!
