Donovan's fingers caught in between door and frame

Daddy and Gor Gor Donovan was accompanying Mummy while she was expressing milk at Great-grandpa's house today. When Daddy realised Gor Gor Donovan had passed motion, he initiated to bring him for a wash. In a haste to get Gor Gor Donovan cleaned up, Daddy rushed to get him out of the door and close the door but he had unknowingly overlooked that Donovan's fingers were placed strategically in between the door and its frame. "SNAP!!!" and "WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Gor Gor Donovan wailed loudly and we froze in shock. After a few seconds in daze, we realised what had happened and quickly attended to our crying darling. The middle and ring finger on Donovan's right hand was swollen and the pressed marks were visible and was tinted purple. Our hearts broke with Donovan's increasingly loud crying. Mummy gave Donovan a long comfort hug and Donovan sobbed into Mummy's shoulder, making her feel worse....

Daddy fetched a small tub of ice-water for Donovan to play with in order to reduce the swell on his fingers. After making sure that Donovan's fingers could function normally, we felt better.

Lesson learnt: Never lose focus on the safety of your child cause accidents can happen anytime, anywhere. When accidents happen, the real persons suffering are the parents.
