Big Baby Dominus
Its Day 6 of Baby Dominus' stay at the nursery. Mummy arrived at the hospital around 3:20pm and fed Baby Dominus immediately. Baby Dominus was sleepy as usual and did not finish his milk even when Mummy tried waking him up several times. After stroking, burping and unwrapping failed, Mummy decided to leave Baby Dominus to sleep. The ward was rather warm so Mummy left Baby Dominus without the swaddle. He seemed to have grown much over the past 6 days. Babies are just so amazing... They grow and grow and grow so fast...
Mummy noticed that there was a large number of trainee nurses from various institutions; Nanyang Poly, ITE... They seemed to be 'invading' the wards and nursery. There were hiccups with administration to retrieve and return Baby Dominus as they were unsure of the protocols. So Mummy waited for a long time to have things done. However, they were extra caring and gentle because they are new and fresh. Perhaps that's the only merit to their presence...
Gor Gor Donovan rang...
While Mummy was breastfeeding Didi Dominus, there was a call from home. Mummy didn't pick it up as she knew she would cry upon hearing Gor Gor Donovan's voice. Mummy missed him soooo much. Actually, the day when Gor Gor Donovan was due to go back home without Mummy, Mummy was already weappy and teary... It was bad enough that Didi Dominus couldn't be discharged, and the departure of Gor Gor Dominus was a double blow. Afterall, both Mummy and Gor Gor Donovan are used to having each other around, especially reading time and bedtime.
After feeding Baby Dominus, Gor Gor Donovan called again. As predicted, Mummy was again teary when she heard Gor Gor Donovan calling out 'mi...mi....'(Mummy)... That's indeed an emotional relieve, comforting yet heart-breaking....
